Belle Isle

Imagine if Central Park was an island in the middle of the Detroit River, but add a weird amount more cars and parking lots. That may not be a rousing review but Belle Isle is truly a spectacular place. Must visit sights include the nations oldest aquarium, fantastic, free botanical garden with a huge conservatory and the James Scott Memorial Fountain, the centerpiece of the park.
